Musashi AI is excited to exhibit at 2024’s Automotive Smart Manufacturing 4.0 USA Summit, in Detroit Michigan. This will be Musashi AI’s first time exhibiting. We look forward to showcasing our smart visual inspection systems for the automotive industry.

On display at our booth will be a demonstration showcasing our fully automated inspection process utilizing our Cendiant™ Inspect and Cendiant™ Quality Insights Platform. This will be accompanied by a showcase of our IOS app, Cendiant™ Mobile Scan.
- Cendiant™ Inspect is turnkey deep learning software designed to fully automate the inspection of complex parts. Using our customized AI models, it detects and segments these anomalies into different defect classes.
- Cendiant™ Quality Insights is an enhanced dashboard software that organizes and stores the valuable data captured during inspection. This dashboard provides historical inspection records and data insights, supplying decision makers with everything they need to improve quality control.
- Cendiant™ Mobile Scan is an iOS app designed for automotive professionals, quality control personnel, and inspectors. This app offers mobile part traceability as well as remote access to the Cendiant™ Quality Insights platform.
The inspection unit on display will be a simplified and shrunken version of our complete automated inspection systems, offering a glimpse into their capabilities.
This demonstration will be inspecting ball joint studs, manufactured for use in an automobile’s suspension. These ball joints will possess a variety of defects, typical to ones gained in the manufacturing process. A live monitor beside the inspection unit will allow attendees to view the Cendiant™ Inspect software as it identifies and segments these defects in real time!
The hardware in the demo utilizes a single stationary camera, and dome lighting. These fixtures resemble the more complicated varieties used in a full-size automatized inspection system. The ball joints are presented on a rotating carousel fixture, that triggers the imaging. In practice, this fixture could be replaced to fit the integration needs of the customer.
Finally, the Cendiant™ Quality Insights dashboard offers a glimpse into quality management, and part traceability that is possible with the Cendiant™ ecosystem. This dashboard gives the customer real time information that can be used for data driven decision making.
This combination of quality assurance, deep learning, and platform insights leads to quicker inspection times, less scrap, and fewer product recalls, leading to a lower cost of quality.
